For best results use a junior hacksaw (32Tpi) and mitre block.

The cut is very important so the accessory fits neatly upto the length.

Tips for installing 1/4 round?

The tape gives a strong bond, but - like most tapes - can lose effectiveness eventually.

This can occur as elements of the adhesive dry out in room temperatures. Most walls are not perfectly smooth so the bond with the surface is not always evenly applied.

If running across ceiling or using a profile with base 1½" + then because of the greater strain on the tape, we always advise installers use a secondary fixing (rawlplug & screw) also , spaced every 2½ft.

Product selection should consider the volume of cables being concealed.

Always leave at least 45% of internal capacity for air circulation, to minimise risk of cables overheating.

Yes, an installation can be reversed, but the lid is not a cable retainer assist in this manner. D-Line recommend clip to be at the top side. Can it be at the base instead?

Hope the diagram below helps…
I want to use D-Line as a cable path instead of floor trim. Can you provide a guide to which pieces I need to order?

It can be opened and closed thousands of times.

These are rigid extrusions, but the Micro will bend on a gentle radius and the Mini also but not much! (The ¼ round will not bend) Can D-Line be bent?

D-Line lengths utilise 'green' PVC in the sense there is no lead in the manufacturing process. Traditional PVC production has used lead as a stabilising agent in the ingredient mix. (Instead We utilise calcium zinc).

D-Line utilise only virgin plastics to achieve greatest control over production quality.

With a little care and attention to measuring and cutting this shouldn't arise.

However any gaps should be filled using decorators caulk or similar.
What if there is a gap between length and accessory?

D-Line lengths can be recycled. Our lengths combine use two plastics, namely PVC for base & lid and TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) for hinge material and so cannot be reconstituted as a purely PVC product. It can however be micronised and used for example in flooring matting.

D-Line accessories are ABS and can be recycled and the material used over and over again in the same form.
