Safe-D® U-Clips
Safe-D U-clips can be fitted direct-to-surface, or in non-metallic trunking systems.
All can be secured to substrates by shot-fired nails or screw-fixings.
After cables are inserted, tabs can be folded inwardly to safely secure the cables. They are produced from a specified steel with >1200ºC melting point.
The combination of the pliable gauge steel & rounded corner features makesSafe-D U-Clips quick & easy to install. Three sizes are available to fit trunkings
from 25mm width up to 50mm wide bases, or direct-to-surface.

Safe-D U-Clip 30 & 30 Red
1st fix clips, then 2nd fix cables: Safe-D U-Clip 30 fits perfectly in 30 x 15mm Mini Trunking, while the 23mm base can fit 25 x 16mm traditional trunking also. Alternatively Safe-D U-Clip 30 fire clips can be fixed directly to surfaces, with user-friendly and pliable tabs that simply fold- over to secure cables. Safe-D Red U-Clip 30 can be fitted directly to surfaces, with tabs that simply fold-over to secure cables. The red finish makes a popular solution for containing red-sheathed fire performance cables direct to surface.The 23mm width is ideal for popular 2x MICC or FP-cable combinations.
Safe-D U-Clip 40
1st fix clips, then 2nd fix cables: Safe-D U-Clip 40 is ideal for fitment in 38mm or 40mm non-metallic trunking bases, or to provide a first-fix solution for securing cables direct to surfaces. Installers should use a fire-rated fixing, such as D-Line D-Fixings, and then simply fold-over tabs to secure cables.
Safe-D U-Clip 50
1st fix clips, then 2nd fix cables: Safe-D U-Clip 50 fire clips are popular for fitment in 50mm non-metallic trunking bases, or to provide a first-fix solution for securing cables direct to surfaces. Installers should use a fire-rated fixing, such as D-Line D-Fixings, and then simply fold-over tabs to secure cables.

Tests confirmed that all products can hold cables secure in temperatures of 930ºC (+40 -0ºC) for 2 hours. Safe-D®
products also withstand required levels of shock, vibration and water spray. Copies of reports are available on request.
